The Story so far...
 
I established Helmes Media Solutions in 2007 after nearly a decade of working in the radio industry in a number of different capacities, and at a number of different stations.
 
It all came about a bit like a light bulb switching on; I just thought to myself why isn't there a daily motoring segment on Australian radio?
 
It seemed like commonsense given the intense media attention that motoring issues were getting at the time.
 
So I set about putting together BEHIND THE WHEEL.
 
However, the more research I did the more I realised that this segment was going to be a hit and I needed to oversee it's production, marketing and distribution.
 
Former Production Manager with the Australasian Retail Radio Network Josh Thompson came on board not long after to look after our production.
 
Further research, and past experiences particularly from my time working as a regional radio Program Director strengthened my resolve to expand the idea and also offer radio stations some fresh segment ideas beyond BEHIND THE WHEEL.
 
If you look at our competitors products, as good as they are, they have been around for many years with very little change.
 
There are also a large number of programs and segments on offer shipped in from the US which really aren’t relevant to Australian listeners.
 
So we began producing IN THE GARDEN with Helen Placanica, and also our NRL and AFL Previews.
 
Since then we have added BEHIND THE WHEEL "BITE SIZE", and NEW HORIZONS with Grant Boyden.
 
But we aren’t finished yet, in fact we have three more segments that we will be launching in coming months.
 
We have also found a niche in providing quality daily LOCAL NEWS bulletins to radio stations and hassle free MESSAGES ON-HOLD to the wider business community.
 
Our motto is very much "If it can be done, let's do it".
